Turnkey Solar PV Off-Grids Power Plants.

Solar PV Off-Grid Cluster At Central Kalimantan.

PT Gerbang Multindo Nusantara (GMN), in collaboration with CAA Energy and the UNDP ACCESS Project, successfully commissioned a cluster of communal Solar PV systems in Central Kalimantan. The project provides clean, 24-hour electricity to the remote villages of Tamiang, Batu Tunggal, Muara Ripung, and Danau Masura. With a total capacity of 223.5 kWp, this initiative delivers sustainable power to over 570 households, effectively replacing their reliance on expensive diesel generators.

As the EPC contractor, GMN implemented a flood-resilient design by constructing powerhouses on 3-meter elevated platforms. This specialized infrastructure protects the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) from seasonal flooding, ensuring grid stability in river-basin environments. Beyond technical installation, the project focused on sustainability by training local village teams to manage and maintain the systems independently. This project stands as a benchmark for rural electrification and renewable energy integration in Indonesia’s most remote regions.
